Betsi Cadwaladr University Health BoardAn opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 2 Health Care Support within the Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU) at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.. Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.. The successful candidates will work within the Acute Cardiac Unit which consists of 4 Coronary Care beds and 21 Cardiac admissions. This role can be challenging at times; however, you will be working as part of a well-established friendly and supportive team.. There are many training opportunities to help with career progression and staff are encouraged to become link nurses to help with self and whole ward development.. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward (ACU) and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.. You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply..
